Hong Kong's sports has achieved remarkable milestones since Lee Lai-shan’s historic Olympic gold in 1996. Team Hong Kong marked an extraordinary breakthrough from period from 2021 to 2024: Edgar Cheung clinched two gold medals in foil fencing, Vivian Kong secured a gold medal in épée, and Siobhan Haughey earned historical four Olympic medals in freestyle. These remarkable achievements have not only ignited Hong Kongers’ passion for sports, but also spurred social initiatives to promote different sports, such as the "Sport For All Day", increased in sports’ resource, and school-community sports partnerships by Hong Kong Government have been pivotal in integrating sports into daily life.
Our Mission
We firmly believe that major sporting events do more than driving economic growth—they foster social unity, inspire public enthusiasm for sports, and encourage healthier lifestyles. This belief motivated us to establish Sum KM Sport, a platform dedicated to organising sporting events that inspire Hong Kongers’ vitality and wellness, and strive to transmit positive energy throughout the community. Our commitment lies in sustaining this legacy of excellence in event organisation, ensuring each moment becomes a cherishing and continuing for generations to come.
